We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to use modern tested techniques and award winning, superior equipment.
In 2001 Kelvin and Linda Abell, owners of a 49 ha banana and pawpaw farm in the Tully Valley region of the Great Green Way, started to identify and explore opportunities to value add to their tropical fruits (bananas pawpaw & limes).
Previously production had been limited by inefficient and high energy consuming equipment that cannot operate successfully in the wet tropics because of high humidity.
With the advent of award winning new technology developed by Malanda based business Envirotec Group this new equipment enables the facility to process premium quality product, that is superior to any existing product on the market, retaining colour, texture, fragrance and flavour without using artificial preservatives and additives. Most importantly it contains no sulphur making it perfect for asthma and chronic fatigue sufferers.
Because our process allows drying at optimal temperatures it means most of the original vitamins and minerals remain intact.
Tropical Harvest guarantees that all fruit processed is Australian and, where possible locally, grown. This is a 100% Australian family owned and operated business.
