Why is your dried fruit more expensive — and better — than most supermarket dried fruit?
Why is your dried fruit more expensive — and better — than most supermarket dried fruit?
Supermarket dried fruit is often made for mass production and long shelf life.
That usually means it’s imported, treated with sulphur, soaked in sugar syrup, or stabilised with preservatives.
Some brands even send Aussie-grown fruit overseas for slicing or packing — just to cut costs.
That’s not us.
Every step — from growing to drying to packing — stays right here in Australia.
We use 100% Aussie-grown fruit, and dry and pack it on our own farm in Far North Queensland.
No sulphur. No added sugar. No shortcuts.
We slow-dry at just the right temperature to preserve flavour, fibre, and nutrients — the way fruit should be.
It costs more because it’s real, local, and done right.
And we reckon it’s worth every bite.
How do you dry your fruit?
How do you dry your fruit?
We use a gentle slow-drying process on our farm in Far North Queensland — no shortcuts, no additives.
Each piece of fruit is:
- Washed and sorted by hand
- Sliced to the right thickness for even drying
- Slow-dried at low temps to lock in flavour, fibre, and nutrients
- Packed on-site in our clean, food-safe facility
No sulphur. No added sugar. No preservatives.
Just pure fruit — dried the right way.

What’s the difference between your dried fruit and freeze-dried (or other drying methods)?
What’s the difference between your dried fruit and freeze-dried (or other drying methods)?
There are a few ways fruit gets dried — and they each produce different results:
- Freeze-dried fruit is light, dry, and crunchy — almost like fruit-flavoured foam. It’s made using vacuum pressure and very low temperatures to remove moisture fast. Some love the crunch — but it often loses the taste and feel of real fruit.
- High-heat or tunnel drying is common in commercial dried fruit. It’s fast and efficient, but the higher temperatures can reduce flavour, texture, and nutrition.
To compensate, some products add sulphur, preservatives, sugar, colours, or flavouring to improve shelf life and taste. - Home methods like oven or sun-drying can be inconsistent and less safe for large-scale use.
Our method?
We use a slow dehydration process — low heat, long time, and no additives. This gently removes moisture while keeping the fruit’s natural goodness intact.
- Freeze-dried = crisp and dry
- High-heat dried = firm or tough
- Slow-dried = soft, chewy, and richly fruity
No sulphur. No added sugar. No preservatives.
Just real Aussie-grown fruit, dried the way it should be.
Do you add sugar, sulphur, preservatives, or anything artificial?
Do you add sugar, sulphur, preservatives, or anything artificial?
Never.
Our fruit is naturally sweet and full of flavour — so we don’t need to mess with it.
We’ve spent years learning how to dry each fruit just right — the perfect temperature, the right timing — to protect its nutrients, flavour, and shelf life without sulphur, preservatives, or added sugar.
That’s the difference:
They use shortcuts. We use skill.
Just real Aussie fruit, done properly.
What’s the texture like — and why choose dried fruit over fresh?
What’s the texture like — and why choose dried fruit over fresh?
Soft-chewy. Tender. Packed with real fruit flavour.
Never rubbery. Never dry to death. That’s the magic of slow-drying done right.
Fresh fruit is great — but it bruises, spoils quickly, and isn’t always convenient.
Dried fruit is:
- Mess-free
- Shelf-stable
- Intensely flavourful — all-natural sweetness, no sugar added
No peeling. No prep. Just open and enjoy.
Perfect for:
- Lunchboxes
- Snack drawers
- Hiking packs
- Baking, gifting, and grazing
Real fruit. Real convenience. Really versatile.
How long does it last?
How long does it last?
Our fruit is slow-dried to stay fresh for months — no preservatives needed.
- Unopened: Best enjoyed within 6–9 months. Store in a cool, dry pantry.
- Opened: Reseal the pouch and enjoy within a few weeks for peak flavour and texture.
No fridge required — just keep it sealed and away from heat or moisture.

Texture can vary slightly from batch to batch — that’s the beauty of real fruit.
Some fruits dry softer, others firmer, depending on the natural sugar levels, variety, and season.
If it feels too firm, try letting it sit at room temperature or gently warming it in your hands.

🌱 Do your fresh fruits contain pesticides before drying?
🌱 Do your fresh fruits contain pesticides before drying?
Like most large-scale farms in Australia, our growers — including our own — may use some pesticides during the growing process.
But we prioritise farms that spray minimally and follow low-intervention, responsible practices to support healthy crops and soil.
Once the fruit reaches us, we keep it simple and clean:
No sulphur. No preservatives. No added sugar.
Just real fruit, dried slowly on-site to lock in flavour and nutrients — with nothing extra added.
🧪 Is your dried fruit organic?
🧪 Is your dried fruit organic?
We're not certified organic — and we’re upfront about that.
But what we do offer is clean, Aussie-grown fruit, sourced from trusted farms that avoid harsh chemicals and prioritise good growing practices.
Once picked, our fruit is washed, hand-checked, and slow-dried on-site with no sulphur, no preservatives, and no added sugar.
So while we don’t carry the organic label, we keep it as close to nature as possible — no shortcuts, no extras.
